pigtails, smiles, neighbors, & words

Because I'm never sure what to title my posts of jumbled thoughts.


I tried putting Cosette's hair in pigtails today, which I haven't taken the time to try to do in months. This is the first time we actually went out of the house with them in. She was really into them, and she didn't even pull them out--though she tried at first.

While Johnny shot the pictures, the kids were looking at me. When I tried to get them to smile at the camera, Henri got the idea below.
While Cosette napped in the afternoon, Henri spent much of the day playing with our 8-year old neighbor Raydell. Raydell was very kind to Henri, encouraging him along as they rode their bikes together on the sidewalks.

Cosette's new words:
These days she'll attempt to say anything you ask her to. Can you guess what she's trying to say below?

• Bah (sometimes Bah-bah, but she's recently cut it down to one syllable)

• Mommy (she calls both Johnny & I this)
