My parents moved out of this home about a year and a half ago.
I've been telling this story from my perspective. I'm sure there are many more things and emotions that my parents had to go through that I don't know about.
Some positive outcomes of the fire:
- The house was beautiful upon completion, just how my mom and dad wanted it.
- I used to be afraid of my house burning down and losing all of my belongings. I used to argue with my mom when she tried to give away or throw out ANY of my toys or belongings. Since my parents worked for everything they owned, I'm sure it was harder for them than it was for me at age 14. However, I found out that it wasn't hard for me to lose everything.
- In some ways, it drew us closer as a family, helping us all realize how important we were to one another.
- Seeing how God worked things out for our good.
Some Negatives:
- Losing our beloved cats. I was just a little sad about the finches.
- Seeing the stress on my parents to have to work with the insurance company and make a million decisions in a short amount of time.

This house is so romantic! I felt like Anne of Green Gables the first time that I spent the night at your house. It was such a fun place to go to!
