Our home is on the market, so every Sunday for the past 4 or 5 weeks, the kids & I have had to find a place to go after church while Johnny runs an "open house." Today, we went to Toby & Braden's house. After rejoicing with my friends over Henri's obedience lately upon arrival at their home, the LORD showed me that Henri's sin nature is still alive & well. I was humbled to remember that it isn't I & my great mothering that helps my boy to be kind & good, but it's God's work in Henri's heart. It was a very tough afternoon, and I was at a loss & utterly dependent on the LORD and my friends' caring help & advice. Johnny had a sweet time with the boy afterwards, and Henri & I have reconciled. We continue to pray that Henri would one day despise his sin, see his need for a savior from death, and repent & put his trust in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of his sins. Oh my dear boy, how we pray that the LORD would draw you to himself, that you would understand these things, and know God. We love Henri so much.
Then we went to Johnny's softball game this evening. This park is great because the softball field is right next to the playground. And Henri can play at age 3 on the playground without my help so that I'm able to watch both Henri & Johnny's game.

Thanks for sharing. Raising children is tough work, and it's necessary to remember that GOD is in control, not me as the mother.
