Ladies first
Henri & his good friend, Ava, went to a splash pad & park today. At one point, both of them were heading for a slide and Ava was asking to go first, but Henri quickly ran ahead of her to go down it. I pulled him aside to explain that gentlemen let the ladies go first and that he should stop & wait at the top of the slide to let Ava go first. Henri did a little too well. Every time Henri ran to the top of the slide, he would call out to Ava to go first even if she was somewhere else on the playground. "Ava! I'm waiting for you!"

Oh my word, CUTE photos! I love the ones of them trooping in with their buckets, holding hands, Ava's hat riding low, both looking so purposeful. Oh, and I love the big orange slide!!!
Wow, such fun pictures. Thank you so much for taking Ava to the park that morning. She really enjoyed it! She was acting quite grow up when she returned--I think she enjoyed having her own independent adventure. :)
