The bracelet came in the mail today. His allergist recommended that we get one for him back in February, but I obviously haven't gotten around to it since Henri is in my direct care most of the time. (In case you don't know, Henri is allergic to eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, & shellfish).
I found out last week at a food allergy support group that Food Allergy Initiative has provided a grant to MedicAlert so that children with food allergies can become members of MedicAlert and get a bracelet at no cost. So I finally made the call and ordered Henri the bracelet that's designed for him to wear always and not remove. On the back, it lists his food allergies and a phone number to call for medical instructions in an emergency.

Looks like a GREAT thing to have...and looks like Henri likes it as well!!!
I hope that Henri will outgrow all of his allergies and be able to eat freely. A former coworker has a 5 year old son who is deathly allergic to everything (including nuts and eggs) and he had learned to never take a cookie or baked treat without asking his parents first...poor kid.
Side note: I'm happy to see that Henri is still getting use out of that blanket!
Oh Bree, I can attest to how much Henri loves that blanket!!
Snazzy new bracelet, Henri! I'm sure Ava will be jealous.
That bracelet makes Henri look really tough, especially with bare arms.
Praying that you'll never have to actually use it!
